As a 22 year old hair stylist I am still learning as I grow my business but I understand how frustrating it is to not get that MELT you’ve been waiting to get . Rather it’s hd lace or not , here are some tips to achieve a flawless SEAMLESS MELT. Read caption below ⬇️

1. 🌸WIG TOO SMALL / TOO BIG🌸
When your wig is to small it causes your wig to lift quickly or instantly be pushed back. Have you ever experienced your real baby hairs being blended with the wigs baby hairs? It’s imperative that you make sure the wig fits properly before your appointment . As a stylist we should always alarm our clients about this problem so they are aware of the risk factors .

2. 🌸THICK LACE / LACE TONE🌸
I ALWAYS recommend Hd lace for a better melt.
You can check to see if your lace is really hd by putting your hand or arm under the lace and seeing how transparent it is , also the knots should be very tiny. If it gives a scalp look before bleaching the knots you more than likely have a hd lace . Bleaching your knots will also help with lace tint. It’s important to use a foundation lighter or your skin tone to get the BEST scalp effect . I recommend a powder but a foundation will do as long as you get your applicator evenly saturated and use light dabs when applying

3. 🌸GLUE🌸
If your experiencing white build up under your lace you didn’t wait for your glue to dry clear. Or your layers of glue are too thick . Make sure you let the glue dry and apply the glue evenly.

4. 🌸WIG BAND🌸
Before you do your edges place your wig band on for about 30-45 minutes . This will secure the melt. Do not leave the band on for to long because it will start to build moisture underneath from sweat causing the lace to get sticky and shift.

5. 🌸ASHY LACE🌸
If you’re experiencing ash wipe the area with alcohol, it’s probably just make up build up, be careful not to get the lace saturated. Use freeze spray to give it a seamless look
