Isaiah Oluwamayomikun Olaoye 🥹🥰

Some people you meet. Some people you recognize. Mayomikun has always felt like home — so familiar, so safe, that I almost overlooked him. I held him close like a sibling, not knowing I was holding my future.

FUOYE, 2021. DSN Class, Oye Campus.
He was our tutor. Calm, brilliant, with an aura so peaceful it made you look twice. And he was looking annoyingly fresh for a campus student — I had to compliment him. Innocently. I didn’t know I was complimenting my husband.

Two weeks later, cramps kept me away from DSN class. He got my number from my coursemate to check on me. That simple call from my tutor birthed a friendship I didn’t know I needed.

2022 — he bared his heart to me. I wasn’t ready. I brushed it aside. In my head, we could never be that.

2023 — he was done with school, a year ahead of me. He needed air, he needed space. So he walked away from the friendship, and we let silence do what words couldn’t.

But love has a way of circling back.

I signed out, and there he was. A warm wish.
2024 — a birthday message, and a cash gift from nowhere. Just because. I was serving, tired of where I was posted, ranting to him about how much I hated the state. He listened. He linked me to someone to help me relocate. He still cared, from a distance. He even told me about another lady he was trying to woo, and I — with full confidence — gave him relationship advice! 😂 Little did I know, I was advising my own husband on how to love me better.

Early 2025, God started dealing with me. “Your husband is not new. He is already your friend.” I heard it, but my eyes were still blind to him.

Then came Valentine’s Day.

He had called twice. I had missed it. For the first time, I decided to call back. That one returned call changed everything.

My DSN tutor became the tutor of my heart. The friend I called brother became the lover I now call home. From DSN class in Oye to doing life together forever.

I found home, and his name is Oluwamayomikun.

A letter to my fellow Christians
This year-2025 is not a year to be casual, it's a year to be intentionally intentional,making good use of each and everyday(waking minute and second) in constant fellowship with the Father, Son and the Holy spirit, it's not a year to play church but to obey instructions swiftly so help us God. Amen 🙏

2024 was such a full year for me, felt like I had ten years in one.
One significant highlight for me was that I graduated ILDP 2.0 🎓 - 07/12/24
ILDP was so strategic for me, I constantly felt like I needed something but I couldn't place it then ILDP came along, and it was just what I needed, it wasn't easy but it was worth the sleepless nights.
ILDP was such a destiny defining moment for me, the masterclasses and reviews, it came with so many light bulbs and mind shift.🥺
Thank you so much PDDK @deboladejikurunmi for the sacrifice you made for ILDP to come alive ❤️
