On March 17. 2026 I underwent my fifth spinal surgery.
The operation lasted more than eight hours, as it turned out to be far more complex than originally expected. It had initially been planned as a 3–4 hour procedure that required extreme precision. 🏥💉🛌

After more than three years filled with pain, many tears, a lot of therapies, conservative treatments, countless doctor appointments, and hospital stays, I finally had my follow-up appointment this week.
My surgeon is very satisfied and optimistic. Although it will still take a long time for everything to fully fuse and heal, and despite all the ups and downs along the way, I know I would never have made it through without my wonderful husband, my family and my friends. 🩷🩵💚

I would also like to mention that without my orthopedic specialist, who performed the procedures over the past three years, I would not be doing as well as I am today, nor would I be where I am now! 🙏
I'm endlessly grateful to every single person who supported me throughout this difficult time — the doctors, nurses, intensive care staff, and everyone involved. Without them, things would not have gone so well.
My doctor was always positive and constantly supported me with kind and encouraging words.

I truly believe that my husband and I can now finally focus on an important new chapter in our lives. 💕

My new tattoo will always remind me that no matter how hopeless or discouraging life may seem, it is important to keep fighting and never give up!!
This has been a deeply life-changing experience for me, but during this difficult time I have also learned so much and taken away many positive lessons, alongside some painful ones.
