A year ago, my sweet Adrian proposed to me on a perfect summer day on his parent’s ranch in Montana. The year before this we spent our summer taking care of his mom during her final weeks fighting cancer. We would climb to the mountain or walk down the driveway as our date once we got her ready for the night. Earlier this month the ranch was sold, and the wildflowers still grow as a sign of Jen still being there.

Everyone says relationships are hard work, but they don’t mention the disparity of relationships when your partner looses a parent. Everyday I’m lucky to be loved so much by someone who has been thru so much.
So yes, relationships are hard work but look for the person you want to sit with on the worst day of your life.
