Sydney Marathon 2026! I got a new personal best (PB) with a time of 4:12:31!

I started a bit later than my group because I was 🐉.

My pacers had already left, so I had to figure out my own pace.

This marathon was a challenge! I’d never run so much elevation before. It was still an amazing race!!!

I remember slowly approaching Sydney Harbor Bridge, and you just see this massive beast in the distance. It was incredible to run on it. My neighbor, Cath, was taking pictures of herself, so I asked if she could get one of me. Thanks, Cath! 📸: @cath_does_sydney

A few people recognized the @3Run2 kit and shouted it out! It was funny to see a volunteer with a BR(@bridgerunners) hat yell out “3Run2! ChiTown!” I was like yeahhhh!

Even later in Centennial Park, a woman yelled out “3Run2!!!” I yelled out, and then @klolo86 is right there in front of me!

I must’ve been doing a lot of zig-zagging because my mileage showed more than what the mile(kilometer) markers said.

I didn’t know what my finish time was until later. I was just trying to race smart and be ready for the rolling hills. There was one section where it seemed like so much up and down. I remember getting tired and then seeing a sign that read “You’re not cooked! You’re just going uphill.”

The crowds were incredibly supportive! Shout out to the older Asian woman that saw me cramp up and yelled “Don’t stop! Don’t stop! You’re almost there!!!”

I made it to the finish knowing I gave it my all. That part had me bawling.

Thanks to my family, friends, and the 3Run2 run crew for sending me all the messages. That kept me going! Thanks to everyone that trained with me or gave me advice! Much appreciated! 🙏🏽

Thankful for this community. It always picks me up when I get to mile 20 of the Chicago Marathon. @3run2 is always out deep. Thanks for always cheering me on! 🙏🏽

You can see there was a lower turnout than previous years, but it was still a good time!

4th Medal Monday of the year. I’m trying to fit it all in.
Yesterday was about pacing, not racing. It was warm and sunny, but I still felt really good out there. The Chicago 13.1 had that energy!!!

The crowd support was top notch!
Thanks to all the running crews cheering, there was a bunch out there. Thanks to the volunteers.
