We can’t always choose how people treat us or the circumstances that happen to us. Jesus said in this world we WILL have trouble.

We do get to decide how we respond and whether or not the hard stuff makes us bitter or better.

I keep learning more and more how my perspective really shapes my attitude and actions, and so much of how I move through life flows from there.

I can choose to be angry, discouraged, resentful, doubting God and others. Or I can decide to learn and grow, forgive, heal, trust God and do my part to make the world around me better.

I definitely have not arrived and still stumble through a lot of days. I just find when I choose joy and peace and hope it makes life better all around! by @angiepsmith

God works things out, like He really does.

There’s two things He has shown me over and over again these last 18 months of my life.

1. He wants me to be present, in today, getting my daily bread from Him. The Manna He gave His people in the Old Testament was enough for each day, but would spoil if they tried to save it up for the future. He was teaching them dependency and showed them over and over again His sufficiency and provision. When I think too far ahead, I get stressed and anxious and things don’t go well when I try to take matters into my own hands. I’m learning to be where I am and let God do what He does.

2. He WILL show up and work things out - big things and small things. He cares about the details. It’s not always how or when I expect it, but more often than not it’s better. And He acts from the place of all-knowing - He sees and knows what I don’t and provides from that place.

I’m humbled by how He cares about me personally and the ways He continues showing me His love and grace and ever-present help.

If you’re in a place of waiting on God and really needing Him to show up, don’t give up hope and faith. He is able and He will act in His ways and perfect timing! 🙏🏼 by @angiepsmith

In times and seasons when more days than not include tears and grief and weariness - here’s a reminder {one that I very much needed today}:

Joy is coming. Hope and harvest are on the horizon.

Keep sowing, even with tears. Those tears will water the seeds you and God have planted together.

You may not see movement or growth yet, but you will. God is always moving and working, and He always finishes what He starts. by @angiepsmith
