Shoe Tutting on TV with Mario Lopez! (dream come true!)

From watching Mario host my favorite show growing up “America’s Best Dance Crew” to being interviewed by him and teaching him my own dance style!

Life really comes full circle and I truly can’t express how thankful I am for this opportunity. Thank God!

I just hope to inspire tutters out there and dancers in general to just stay true to themselves and do the style you love!

I was always told that tutting wasn’t real dancing and that I needed to do more, I’m glad I never let those outside opinions defeat me.

I wouldn’t have been able to do this without all of the love and support I’ve received from y’all over the years. Thank you thank you thank you from the bottom of my heart. ❤️👟

Stretching for Tutting Part 1 🎓

Watch, follow along, share with someone who you talk about tutting with.

Tutting is a street dance style focused on creating geometric shapes, angles, boxes, lines, and patterns with the hands, arms, wrists, elbows, and body. The style is known for precise positioning, clean 90-degree angles, intricate hand movements, isolations, transitions, animation, and illusion-based movement.

Tutting can include finger tutting, hand tutting, arm tutting, box tutting, King Tut-inspired poses, tracing, waving, and other forms of geometric movement. Dancers often focus on control, symmetry, flexibility, mobility, musicality, creativity, and connecting one shape smoothly into the next.

Tutting is commonly associated with popping, animation, street dance, hip-hop dance culture, freestyle dance, and finger tutting, but it has also developed into its own highly detailed movement vocabulary and creative discipline.

Having unlimited angles sounds good until you realize you still gotta pick one 😂

This is what separates regular tutters from those who reach elite levels. They reduce the buffer time between each angle and make everything look purposeful and seamless.

The more tutting vocabulary you build, the less time you spend thinking “what do I do next?” You start recognizing pathways quicker and letting one angle lead you into another.
