Part two! ✌️ Thermal Imaging by our Veterinary Medical Director, Dr. Ron Riegel, shows how red and near-infrared light therapy from AnimaSol blankets does not create a thermal effect. True red and near-infrared light therapy should NOT create excessive heat. At AnimaSol, we take product efficacy and safety seriously by testing our products in-house and by a third party. 🔗 Learn more at www.animasol.com #animasol #dogsol #equisol #thermalimaging #lighttherapy by @anima__sol
My AnimaSol® light therapy product creates a warm, red glow and helps my pet relax… so it must be creating heat, right? ❌ Wrong! AnimaSol® products are designed to deliver light therapy without heating the body. AnimaSol® Veterinary Medical Director, Dr. Ron Riegel, conducted a Thermographic Assessment of the DogSol® and EquiSol® Red and Near-Infrared Light Therapy Blankets. Here's what he found: → All four animals showed a DECREASE in surface temperature following a 15-minute treatment. → No significant thermal buildup was observed over four hours post-treatment. 👉 Why does this matter? Red and near-infrared light therapy (photobiomodulation/PBM) works through light-driven biological processes, NOT by heating tissue. Unlike heat therapy, PBM uses specific wavelengths of light to interact with cells and stimulate biological responses. ✏️ A few important takeaways: → No therapeutic heating required. AnimaSol® products are designed to create photochemical and photobiological effects rather than relying on heat. → Important for sensitive tissues. Avoiding unnecessary heat is especially beneficial when treating areas already experiencing inflammation or irritation. → Reduced thermal activity. The assessment showed decreases in previously elevated surface temperatures, potentially reflecting changes in circulation and inflammation-related activity. ⭐ The bottom line? Red light therapy isn't about heating the body. It's about delivering light that supports biological processes at the cellular level. This thermographic assessment provides additional evidence that AnimaSol® blankets do not cause significant thermal buildup during or following treatment. ❗ Remember: Not all red light therapy devices are created equal! Poor LED efficiency, inadequate thermal management, or improper power regulation can cause unwanted heating. Quality PBM devices should deliver effective light therapy without relying on heat.
