Our connection began before we met or were born. John’s mom Julie went to high school with my dad and aunt. We played baseball together for years as kids. It wasn’t until John in true John fashion, when I was about 10 or so says check it out pussies! You ever heard of NAVY SEALS? I hadn’t and he sent us on the ride of a lifetime. John was all in! He finally went off to Navy boot camp. I remember eagerly waiting for him to go to buds. I studied close as this was my path too. I would go to Julie and Doug’s house by myself and watch all of John’s seal documentaries he collected. I joined sea cadets and the swim team. I was in high school when John passed buds. He trained up, and not long after was part of the first seal presence on the ground in Afghanistan. Meanwhile I had just gone off to marine corps boot camp, thinking seal training would take forever and I would miss what would be a 20 year war lol. John said marine corps? You dumbass they have no money! lol. While in boot camp I got a letter from John’s mom Julie saying he had been shot and was on his way home. The reality set in! I graduated and visited him at the Gallagher’s house. I was pumped to get some payback! Eventually, I would instead go to Iraq. After doing one tour setting up for my second, John came over with a ton of cool gear that we lacked cause I’m a dumbass and joined the broke marine corps 🤣 he outfitted my buddies for our new mission which was Humvee oriented with appropriate gear. Myself @tfzombie and @taskforcez2.0 all deployed during the nastiest part of the GWOT. We carry the scars of war daily. John NEVER QUIT his body just couldn’t keep up with his MIND! God knew I didn’t need an older brother at home so he gave me one to look up to. Doug and John remain close friends not because of our childhood connections but because our desire to dream big took us where most people are to afraid to go. I’ll really miss you John. I’ll miss not having you to call and present me new business ideas or any of your wild ideas! 100% even though you hadn’t called me it for years I’ll miss being addressed as hey pussy! You’re the guardian angel now brother keep us at your side! SF JOHHNY B🇺🇸🦭🔱 taken in Naval Amphibious Base Coronado by @animal3pct

Rags right ~2006 📸 @sebastianimizcoz I dreamt about this trip in my final days in the USMC. One thing I learned was to stop anticipating and overthinking adventures and life itself. The trip will take a form of its own. taken in Mentawais, Indonesia by @animal3pct
