Announcing our upcoming window gallery at the @westspace window in Collingwood yards! Gatetopia: fences, creatures and conforming is a mixed media collaboration between @aiskirana @f_3_r_a_l and @mas._.space. The window will be viewable from the 6th of feb to the 25th of Feb in the window outside of West Space.

We are excited to announce our opening night on the 6th of Feb from 4:30pm to 9pm with a performance by @aiskirana starting at 4:30 so come a bit earlier if you don’t want to miss out! We will then be having DJs from 5pm-9pm downstairs at Hope Street Radio. There will be alcohol available for purchase upstairs at West Space as well!

Starting pre production on my next short film I’m creating called ‘Faceball’ it will follow a robot who takes people’s faces and rolls them into a ball in order to reconnect the world. I hope to have the short film done by March-April next year!

Hey lovely people! Very excited to announce my free Animation Workshops every Thursday from 4pm to 6pm starting this week at the Yarra Youth Centre in Fitzroy. @yarrayouthservices

Starting off this week’s workshop we will be getting into figure drawing. Thank you to the amazing @taelrie for volunteering as the model for this week’s workshop. We will start by understanding the basics of figure drawing through the line of action and gesture drawings, then going into longer poses.

Super stoked to be doing this terms artist in residence’s workshops at the Yarra Youth Centre. Can’t wait to see some of you gorgeous people there!! There will also be free snacks and music (:

“My name is Mason Cremasco, I am a mixed media animator focusing on hand drawn 2D animation, stop motion, collage, 3D and film. My aim in animation is to create inclusive and thought provoking films and shorts focusing on the genres, comedy, drama, sci-fi and surrealism.

My hopes for the residency at the Yarra Youth Centre is to create a space for stop motion/collage so that I can focus more on my physical work in my films. I also hope to bring the joys of animation and making things come to life to other youth as when I was younger I was inspired to start my animation journey through someone else showing me the ropes and wish to do the same!” taken in Yarra Youth Services by @animas0n
