Bringing some "Good Times" rock 'n' rolling to @zumafuncenter (formerly @celebrationstationusa), come four colorful critters with a repertoire of hits from the 1950s to the 1970s! The Rockin' Rascals' EDITED* standard soundtrack (circa 2005) from @sallydarkrides is now available for your public listening pleasure! Link in bio.

*This is NOT representative of the complete setlist of songs or segments produced for this show. To hear ALL the recorded songs, including these, check out the masters playlist on my YouTube channel. The original, unedited Celebration Station segments from 1993 are of major interest to everyone, and I have communicated this to Sally. Hopefully we will see those copies get a public release soon. Consider this as another tie-over until then, we're getting closer!

Rocket & Roll! - Yesterday (June 25th), I had an amazing time with Sara @funtownfollies / @lilpaste and her friend at the Pineville CEC! Sara's plush characters of Spacesuit Sam (dog) and Asteroid Al (chicken), with my plush of her character Flegel ("space flea") that I voice, make up part of Sara's Crater Corner group, Rockaria! The other three Rockaria members (TV Jones, Lady Jupiter, and Rover) couldn't make it on this visit, but maybe in a blue moon! 🌒 #chuckecheese #showbizpizza #cratercorner #funtownfollies #pineville #plushies #animatronics #3stage taken in Chuck E. After years of phone conversations I finally met @sallydarkrides' Sr. Programming Director, Dave Jones! He was on a family vacation and was able to meet up at the Pineville CEC today! So grateful to have the opportunity to chat in-person with one of the nicest people in the animatronic industry! #sallycorp #chuckecheese #pineville #darkrides #animatronics taken in Chuck E. A bonus follow-up from yesterday's post! My mom came across this wild photo of a PTT Mr. Munch costume (simply referred to as "Spectator" in the caption) at a pep rally for Penfield High School, highlighted in the 1985-86 yearbook! Coincidentally enough, there is a Pizza Time Theatre advertisement in the final section of this yearbook with the addresses for the two defunct Rochester, NY area stores (Penfield and Greece). #chuckecheese #pizzatimetheatre #mrmunch #penfield #newyork #1980s taken in Penfield High School by @animatronicshowfan

I don't believe these have been seen before, though here are photos of the exterior and "General Store" prize counter from Rochester (Penfield)'s defunct Pizza Time Theatre, showcased in a Penfield High School 1983-84 yearbook! My mom had been searching through digital copies of yearbooks from her time attending high school when she discovered these three inclusions of PTT (no, she was never an employee there, by the way). With the exterior posters shown, Madame Oink was a confirmed guest star who appeared at the Penfield store, too! #chuckecheese #pizzatimetheatre #penfield #newyork #1980s taken in Penfield, New York by @animatronicshowfan

Choo-Choo Charlie's (later renamed to "Choo-Choo's Party Zone" in 2002) was a family entertainment center based in St. Catharines, Ontario, Canada. Opening by 1993/94, they had a Daniel and the Dixie Diggers Quintet for their animatronic entertainment. As this was one of (if not) the last Quintets constructed by Sally to date, later characteristics such as drop-eared Daniel are apparent in this installation. Despite the loose railroad theming in the venue's name, the Dixie Diggers stage, set against a long mirror wall, was said to have been modeled after the musical "Show Boat". However, this fact may also apply to DATDD's original stage designs overall (i.e., Mark Twain's Riverboat Playhouse). Operated by the White Oaks Resort & Spa Inn, Choo-Choo's eventually shut down between the 2006-2012 period. The Dixie Diggers themselves continue to exist in storage under undisclosed private ownership as of 2023.
