To bring Tsuki to life, it meant connecting with who she is. Remembering what it was like to be a kid walking into Hot Topic for the first time and staring at the wall of band merch while looking to your left and being captivated by all the nerd merch from all the series you love.

Tsuki is who she is because she remembers how it felt to boot up Kingdom Hearts II and have an out of body experience the first time she heard Sanctuary.

To fall in love with art and culture in the 2000’s was to discover anime on Toonami and 4Kids TV, to walk the mall on Friday nights with your friends—sharing an earbud for a song of a new band you found on someone’s MySpace. It was your copy of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind living in your DVD player because it’s become a comfort movie at this point, it’s what you put on in the background when you’re doing your makeup, cleaning your room, or doing your homework.

Tsuki is those parts of all of us that our hearts both long for and never forget. She’s in the dust on our GameCube, the old box of hair dye in a drawer, and in the beat of every song you’re still stuck on so many years later.

Anime Night is the place you go where it all comes back to life. Where the music reminds you of who you were then, and how that person still lives on inside you. Surrounded by the stories, the art, and the music we love brings you back to the place where the world felt easier and nothing else mattered but the moment you were living.

We hope you find a piece of yourself in Tsuki in whatever shape that may take. 🖤

🚨 Anime Night is hiring 🚨

Every Cosplay Host has one thing in common -

They started exactly where you are. As fans.

Some found us through cosplay. Others through live music. Some walked through our doors for the first time looking for something to do and never looked back.

One of our current hosts in New York, @kimberlymaycosplay, first caught our attention by jumping on stage during Naruto’s “GO!!!” and singing along with the crowd. We’d never met her before, but her passion for anime, cosplay, and live music was impossible to ignore.

That’s what we’re looking for.

There’s not a city in this world that we can think of as a better place to lay the OG Anime Night format to rest.

The heart that the Hampton Roads area has is unmatched, and with now two visits to Norfolk and one to VA Beach under our belt, we can say confidently THIS is the best place to see amazing cosplay on the East Coast

Your love for anime, for music, and for the art of it all is unmatched, and every time we return you show us a time we surely won’t forget.

We also want to thank @coplonjosh of @lavapresents for taking a chance on our event so early on, and continuously bringing it back through the area. The Annex is an amazing venue and it felt like home coming back to it.

ICYMI - the next and FINAL @shadowrealmmusic in the area will be at this year’s @nekocon_official this November 6th-8th. We’ll be there all weekend and we can’t wait to see so many friends and see why Neko Con is Virginia’s longest running anime con!

This weekend we hosted our last two “traditional” Anime Night events for the year and we loved kicking it off with you, Baltimore!

It was only our second time in your city and our FIRST time bringing the cosplay exhibition to you, which made this feel extra special. The local cosplay talent was firing on all cylinders and we loved seeing it at our show!

We’re excited to welcome back @redhinata as one of our featured cosplay guests for Anime Night this Saturday!

Returning as a guest after joining us at our Virginia Beach event last November, she became one of the creators we knew we wanted to work with again. We’re always excited to bring back familiar faces who help make Anime Night special, and we’re thrilled to have her returning to Norfolk.

Red has been cosplaying since 2013 and has built a reputation for creating incredible budget-friendly cosplays that prove creativity and passion matter far more than a big budget. Her work has been featured twice in Cosplay Realm Magazine, and she has also earned a Judges’ Award for her craftsmanship and dedication to the hobby.

She last appeared as Mitsuri Kanroji from Demon Slayer, and to this day is one of our favorite cosplays of the character we’ve seen. She brought her recognizable hairstyle and coloring to life in a very natural way, and remains one of the most impressive wig stylings we’ve seen. We can’t wait to see what cosplay she has in store for Saturday!

Baltimore, we’re excited to introduce another incredible cosplay guest joining us this Friday!

Please welcome @malignantmachinery to Anime Night as one of our featured guests cosplaying as Agnes Tachyon from Uma Musume!

Cosplaying since 2015, Reagan specializes in wig styling and sewing, combining technical craftsmanship with a passion for bringing anime characters to life. Their dedication to the art has earned them “Best Novice at MiryokuCon 2025” along with multiple Judges’ Choice Awards for dance covers, showcasing talent both on and off the stage.

When reviewing applications for Baltimore, their work immediately stood out to our team and quickly became one of our favorites. With a love for series like Madoka Magica, Love Live, and Kill la Kill, they embody the creativity and artistic expression that make the cosplay community so special, and we’re thrilled to have them join us this Friday.

We’re excited to introduce our next guest joining us this coming Saturday for Anime Night - Norfolk, please welcome @hauntednova.cos!

Known as Rain, she specializes in horror cosplay, prop crafting, and special effects makeup, embracing everything dark, creepy, and spooky. While her work often explores the horror genre, she’s equally passionate about anime and the creativity that cosplay allows her to express.

For Rain, the creation process is the most rewarding part of cosplay. From building intricate props to transforming into unforgettable characters, she loves bringing her ideas to life—even when the process gets challenging.

Her love for anime began with Dragon Ball Z and Naruto which she first watched alongside her dad. As an adult she’s a fan of series like Vampire Hunter D, Death Note, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Hellsing Ultimate. Beyond cosplay, she also enjoys drawing, painting, reading, and spending time with friends.

Rain’s talent has earned her multiple awards at GalaxyCon and Animate After Dark competitions, as well as cosplay runway honors at other conventions. She’s even had the opportunity to serve as a cosplay contest judge, making her a perfect addition to panel at our exhibition.

Baltimore, it’s almost time to return! ✨

One of our favorite parts of Anime Night is getting to introduce our community to incredible artists, and there’s no better place to start than with our friends at @dreamdarkoshop!

As a traveling anime event, we meet artists from all over the country, but the first time we came across the Dream Darko team in Baltimore, they immediately set the standard for what we look for in a featured artist. Their work captures the characters we all know and love with an unmistakable style, transforming them into peeker decals, stickers, charms, and so much more.

Whether you’re looking to decorate your car, ita bag, or collection shelf, there’s a good chance you’ll leave their booth with something you didn’t know you needed. We’re incredibly excited to have them joining us again and can’t wait for all of you to see their work in person next Friday.
