Help us at @mrdsocial help our Veterans through Ocean Therapy! We private charter dive boats to give our Vets a great experience with like minded individuals! Studies have shown that scuba diving and being on the ocean has helped improve the mental & physical state of our veterans!! The more we can do the better we at MRD will feel!!

A HUGE Thank You to the Carolan Foundation @alanacarolan for making this charter as well as many others a reality for us to support our Veterans!!
Our goal is to reach as many Veterans as possible to bring them to the ocean and to that sense of camaraderie that has been absent from their lives since leaving the military!!

Woo Hoo!! Happy Sunday Funday everyone!!! It’s an amazingly gorgeous day out here on Lake Atlantic!!

Can’t believe @noaa was calling for 3-5’ seas today and had a SCA posted from Friday PM saying 4-6’ w/8’ possible (seas were calm) through Saturday!

So anyways today is gorgeous and divers are currently down on the Sheri-Lyn 110’.

Will post all the trips I’m running in a bit but don’t forget that @diversparadisemiami has a full charter listing on their website! Check it out!

I ask that you all please take a few minutes to listen to Military Recreational Divers guest speaker at our Salute and Dive Benefit 3, Ret. Command Sergeant Major William B Zaiser.

His words touch on what our military veterans go through, as well as their families and how it has been proven that our ocean provides a healing soothing effect on our Veterans! I am only sharing a portion of his speech as it is towards the end. If you listen you will hear this tough guy getting choked up and have to pause and this goes towards his own experiences and how even today it is difficult to express it without an upwelling of emotion!

We at MRD are working hard to reach as many Veterans as we can to bring them relief from PTSD (dropping the D) because they do not truly have a disorder… They experienced and suffered through some serious shit and are affected by it every day!! So we are trying so hard to help as many as we can through scuba diving and enjoying the company & camaraderie of fellow veterans on half day excursions which go a long water towards healing them!

We live free Thanks to all the men & women of our armed forces! Shouldn’t we do all we can to help them?

Woo Hoo!!! Lake Atlantic out on this Wednesday Hump Day!! Water is crystal clear and about 86 degrees! Just about perfect!!

Well perfect enough for me feel comfortable jumping in for the first time done my TKR surgery 15 weeks ago!!🎉🎉🎉
