Kolmas niittotapahtuma elokuisessa Bengtsårissa Hangossa

Vuotuisen niiton tarkoituksena on köyhdyttää maaperää poistamalla ylimääräisiä ravinteita polttamalla niitetty kasvillisuus. Tämä prosessi luo paremmat kilpailuolosuhteet niittykasveille, jotka viihtyvät vähäravinteisessa maassa. Muutokset niityn kasvilajistossa ovat jo havaittavissa. 🌱🌸

The third volunteer mowing event at Bengtsår in Hanko

The purpose of the annual mowing is to impoverish the soil by removing excess nutrients through burning the cut vegetation. This process creates better competitive conditions for meadow plants that thrive in nutrient-poor soils. Changes in the meadow’s plant species are already noticeable. 🌱🌸
