Looking back at the @race_across_scotland with a bit of distance and time to process it all, I am still completely speechless. Beyond the miles, the sweat, and the finish line, what remains is an unforgettable journey through some of the most breathtaking landscapes on earth. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿✨
The beauty of the Scottish Highlands was matched only by the incredible community around this event. A massive thank you to the organizers @gbultras for putting on such a top-tier race, and to every single volunteer and crew member who supported us along the way. Your energy, kindness, and late-night smiles kept us moving when everything else hurt.
Running across an entire country teaches you a lot about yourself. It reminds you that we are capable of so much more than we think.

If there is one thing I hope you take away from my journey, it is this: don’t be afraid to chase your dreams. Don’t let doubts, fear, or unexpected obstacles make you feel small. Step out of your comfort zone, push past your perceived limits, and be brave enough to start. The view on the other side is always worth it.

380km 9700hm 82h 🪾🌳🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🌊

Exactly one week ago, the @race_across_scotland kicked off. Today, I’m standing at the finish line as the 5th woman – overjoyed, completely exhausted, and incredibly proud! It was by far the longest, toughest, and most intense race I have ever done.
The journey here was anything but perfect. Right at the start, I made a classic beginner mistake: the wrong shoes. Too small for what my feet had planned over a distance like this. As if that wasn't enough, the typical Scottish weather and endless field crossings left my shoes soaked for what felt like forever. At a certain point, every single step was pure willpower.
But that’s exactly what ultrarunning is all about: when your body gives up, your mind takes over, and the real race begins! Strategic breaks, a shoe change, and thanks to @joenimble , I actually made it across the finish line!
Thank you to everyone who supported me from afar, kept their fingers crossed, and followed the live tracker! 🙏
And a special thank you to @traildani – I couldn't have done it without you!

@azorestrailrun 100k, endless elevation, and pure wilderness. ⛰️ The Azores gave me everything they had, and I gave it right back. My nutrition was on point, my shoes fit perfect. @joenimble Just some problems with the headlamp to deal with… So stoked to take home P2 Overall Women! 🥈🏃‍♀️ Crossing that finish line and grabbing a podium spot after such a tough grind is a feeling I can’t even describe.

102km 4698hm 🌺⛰️🌊

Mein erster Ultra auf den Azoren dieses Jahr war alles andere als perfekt – und genau deshalb bin ich so stolz:
🔦 Stirnlampe am Start defekt
🗺️ 3x verlaufen
👣 Ordentlich umgeknickt
Trotzdem blieb ich sicher und stabil im Rennen. Der Kopf war aus, das Ziel im Fokus. Dass ich als 2. Frau finishen durfte, macht den Stolz perfekt. Ein riesiges Danke an meinen Körper (und meine Lunge!), dass sie so mitgespielt haben.

My first ultra on the Azores this year was anything but perfect – and that’s exactly why I’m so proud:
🔦 Headlamp failed right at the start
🗺️ Got lost three times
👣 Rolled my ankle pretty badly
Despite all that, I stayed strong and steady throughout the race. My mind was sharp, and my focus was locked on the finish line. Crossing it as the 2nd woman overall makes this feeling of pride perfect. A huge shoutout to my body (and my lungs!) for keeping up with me.

55km 2200hm ⛰️🏃‍♀️☀️🌲

Endlich ein Höhepunkt 2026. 🏔️✨
Ehrlich gesagt war dieses Jahr bisher emotional eine ziemliche Vollkatastrophe. Es gab Tage, da hat sich jeder Schritt schwer angefühlt. Aber gestern auf dem Trail im Bayerischen Wald war alles anders.
Ich freue mich riesig über den 1. Platz der Damen auf die 55km! 🏆 Mein erstes großes Highlight in diesem Jahr und hoffentlich der Wendepunkt, auf den ich gewartet habe. Manchmal muss man eben erst durch den Matsch, um die Aussicht oben genießen zu können. 👟💨
Danke an alle, die mich in den letzten Wochen ausgehalten und unterstützt haben!

Finally, a high point this year. 🏔️✨
To be honest, this year has been an absolute emotional train wreck so far. There were days when every single step felt heavy. But yesterday, out on the trails in the Bavarian Forest, everything felt different.
I am beyond happy to take 1st place overall for the women in the 55km! 🏆 My first major highlight of the year and, hopefully, the turning point I’ve been waiting for. Sometimes you really have to trek through the mud to appreciate the view from the top. 180° turns start with a single step. 👟💨
A huge thank you to everyone who has put up with me and supported me over the last few weeks!

Der 12 Stunden Lauf in Schwabach ist einfach ein Traum: Perfekte Runde, klasse Teilnehmer, hervorragende Verpflegung und das dritte Jahr in Folge traumhaftes Wetter. Ein guter Einstieg ins Wettkampfjahr 2026!

The first „form check“ of 2026—a year that couldn’t have started off any worse.
The 12-hour run in Schwabach is simply a dream: a perfect loop, great participants, excellent catering, and fantastic weather for the third year in a row. A solid start to the 2026 competition season!
