Oh, to be...✨

I worried as I wept
they're painting me wrong,
lying to my face.
They were my friends...
or so I thought.

It struck me then:
Do they even know me at all?
Did I fail them as a friend?
Didn't they see I'd listen...
care for their truth,
value their fire?

Days slipped by.
No reach from the close,
those I emptied for.
Just rumours from ghosts,
just thunder, no rain.

If care was real, they'd confront me.
If value, they'd bridge the break.
If secret... Oh, they're fools.

If I was their friend...
Was I ever theirs?

Dear Sakura🌸,

This was my day out in Bangalore.
I missed going to Blossom's bookstore at MG Road, but somehow still ended up at a book sale in the Mall.

Brought home a few Sovereigns📚🥹✨

love,
ankis...🩷
