“Do you remember February 1st? For me it was a lucid dream. Here are three long hours of my DJ set recorded at Garage Noord for Peel, in the smokey and sweaty steam of Bar40. It’s an emotional journey: insecure and scared at the beginning, forceful, energetic, and uncompromising once I managed to get comfortable. I’m talking about a complex, constantly broken, fifteen-year journey of bass, I’m talking about hypnosis and flesh, I’m talking about love and family. It was all there in that room, but above all, there were all those I’ve gathered into my tribe over the course of a year of my new life in Amsterdam. The fortune of having met you, specifically, isn’t in fact luck. It was simply obvious that it would be this way for us.”

Haou Nebout is an electroacoustic trio based in Bologna (IT). The group explores the intersections of non-idiomatic improvisation and new territories of sound research, developing a sonic landscape where the archaic meets the post-human, and apocalyptic imagery evokes a return to the origins. In October 2023 they collaborated with Pietro, a contemporary art space in the heart of Bologna, to work on ‘Simulacri’, an algorithmic sound installation for three speakers in three different rooms. Recently they have collaborated with the label Small Forms (Wien) on their first album to be released in December 2024. Since 2023 they have been touring Italy, Austria and Germany, presenting frontal electroacoustic improvisation, multi-channel performances and sound installations.

Ankles' effect is the itchy, electric feeling you get through your feet when you finally land on the dance floor. Through a red bass wire, she always delivers the sweaty Italian summer atmosphere with a nice hint of uk garage, break grooves, acid landscapes, sometimes tripping in her mediterranean jungle around very warm, flirty, aroused housy chants.Recently moved from Bologna to Amsterdam, born in the deepest wildest south, she already appeared driving the big sound systems at Garage Noord, Laak Club, Radio Radio, Gimic, Future Intel and more. Paolo Maiarelli is an experimental sound artist and music producer. Inspired by other musicians, over the years he has increasingly developed a personal sound by decomposing and recomposing various genres. Since 2014, he has been working on his own vision under the pseudonym POL100.

Within his practice, Paolo focuses on listening to his inner moods and states of being, attempting to translate and express them through the curation of sound detail. His creative process is characterized by the continuous absorption of external auditory stimuli, which he metabolises and synthesizes into a flow of sounds in perpetual evolution; a constant transition between different states of equilibrium that is far from traditional canons of music-making, as it tends towards deconstruction and the loss of rhythm.

The result is a sonic hot pot of ambient, bass, break and abstract sounds that has already convinced several European labels.

DJ Ankles is the desire to feel your legs light through an electronic sound flow, without genre boundaries. Resident DJ of the Mentalità collective, her sweaty, dancefloor-breaking sets mix breakbeat, British grooves, acid atmospheres, and journeys through her Mediterranean jungle, where warm, housy chants echo through.

Now based in Amsterdam, she’s been a guest on Maxi Radio for the Bumbu collective and on Radio Radio in a B2B with Axefield, and we’re sure that soon the Netherlands will hear all about her!

of alert and surrender, so much so that it surprises me every time it forces my face into the usual grimace. I search the faces of others around me for the same expression and the same amazement: everyone, absolutely everyone, has noticed it as much as I have.
