Inspired by imperfection.

At The George, we’ve created an architectural expression that finds beauty within the imperfections of materials—a building that accepts the cycles of growth and aging.

The facade comprises colors and materials that evolve with time; materials like copper and colors inspired by ocean water and rust. The George celebrates the marks that time, weather, and loving use leave behind on materials.

These design choices were made in response to the evolving, eclectic nature of the surrounding neighborhood. A neighborhood we know well – it’s home to our San Francisco office.

We are deeply honored to contribute to the vitality and culture of this place we know and love.

To learn more about how the SoMa neighborhood inspired our design for one of San Francisco’s largest new housing developments, visit the link in bio.

Our 2025 jAM Event raised $18,000 for Central City Concern!

The second annual jAM featured performances from AM bands “The Old Town Specials” and “The Hip Replacements,” as well as a lip-sync battle that put Ankrom Moisan and CCC head to head.

Huge thank you to everyone who participated and donated, the funds raised will help CCC improve our local #communities through access to #housing, #health, and economic opportunities.

And special thanks to all involved with the organization and operation of this incredible event—Ryan, Melissa, Dave, Filo, Darla, Dani, Angela, Mariah, Paige, Michael, Cindy, Carrie, Sheri, Bethanne, Alissa, Mark, Katie, Gary, Stephanie, Amanda, Don, and George—it wouldn’t be possible without you! by @ankrommoisan

Just your typical halloween at Ankrom Moisan 🎃 by @ankrommoisan

The Old Town Specials (our very own in-house band) performed for the grand opening of Modera Shoreline last week.

Just north of Seattle, Modera Shoreline is a 388-unit market-rate apartment community.

We had a blast celebrating a successful project completion alongside our partners Mill Creek Residential, KPFF, Brumbaugh, Endelman—and the local neighbors.

Special thanks to the talented AM’ers of the Old Town Specials—

AM’ers gathered this past weekend at the Portland Pride Parade 🏳️‍🌈

We took advantage of our office’s prime location along the parade route to host a group of family and friends and celebrate #pride together.

And for the second year, we contributed our own pride to the parade—displaying a collection of Pride flags from our office windows.

Special thanks to our DEIB Council for organizing such a meaningful event! by @ankrommoisan

We’re thrilled to share that the next President of Ankrom Moisan will be Murray Jenkins.

As of July 1st, Murray will be stepping into the role currently held by Dave Heater.

Keep listening to hear from Murray and Dave. by @ankrommoisan

Last month we filmed a little something and learned that Dave Heater is decidedly not an actor and Murray Jenkins is not a fan of loud geese.

Stay tuned—tomorrow we’re dropping the actual video, along with a very exciting announcement.

(you can decide for yourself then if Dave can act and Murray can ignore geese) by @ankrommoisan

In celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month, we hosted a potluck lunch and learned how to fold dumplings, lumpia, and samosas.

Thanks Danielle Murphy, Harpreet Kaur, Chie Yokoyama, and Ferdilyn Ramirez for sharing your cultures with us!

Construction is well underway at our Northgate Affordable Housing project in Seattle!

We recently took a group of Northshore high school students out for a tour of the site, giving them an inside look at how buildings come to life.

The tour was led by architects Justin Hunt, Stephanie Baker-Atherly, and Nathan Woods alongside Christian Easley, Quinn Steffens, Ryan Voigh, Gus Sinsheimer, and Ryan Gidley from @walshbuilds and Lee Stanton from @communityrootshousing

We hope to have inspired some future architects, contractors, and developers who will continue the work of bringing affordable housing to our cities.
