My favorite season so far🩵

Not to get sappy or anything but I love the people I met through this activity so so so much joining it has been such a blessing from the Lord and it has been such a freaking honor to be captian for a fourth season and to spin with such special people on such a special team in such a special state, I'm so, SO happy I met these people and spun this show, the season started bad, went on even worse, then got so so so much better than anything ever before. Plus I got to third wheel an awesome lesbian couple the whole time 🩵 by @ann_spins

Well, my first WG season is at its end, and what a ride it's been. From being a captain to having two duets and a solo, I couldn't have loved this show, and mainly, the people around it more. Getting a box 4 and 7th at state is wild too, especially since we have a whole new staff, a new guard after 6 years, and a bunch of rookies, I'm so proud to have been a part of this and to spin with some amazing people like MJ and Emma and Kylie and Roman, it's been super amazing and fun, and I couldn't have asked for a better guard.

It's also been a pleasure meeting a ton of new people like Jasper or Cadence or Haru who are some amazing guards and people, and especially my coaches and directors who I aspire to be like both in spirit and skill. Sometimes I think back to what last year me would think "Holy cow we have a WinterGuard now? We're not in winter percussion? We're a Captian???" And I'm so happy that the dream has been made here, and I hope this program keeps growing and growing. I will say the doubts get to me, they got to me on the finals floor during my solo, and I dropped the toss due to the thoughts, but something Eli said is that the drops don't define me. And while I agree, I'm still gonna work my ass off so that doesn't happen again lol.

Overall, it's been such an amazing experience and I've loved every bit of it. I'm still unsure wether I like WG or Marching better, but hey, maybe that's not something I have to decide on. For now I'll keep working for my goals and for hopefully making a IW guard some year, and meeting more awesome people and spinning with them. Happy to do it again next year, so happy this happened.
Probably gonna post some silly spinning stuff after photos are out and the banquet has happened:) by @ann_spins
