“But there’s no color I could have on Earth that won’t finally fade” - Pippin

I won’t write about how this show was life changing, because being in this show wasn’t. However, It was relatable and raw. Getting the privilege to play Pippin became an extremely personal and deep experience for myself. I usually gravitate toward loud, comedic roles, but this time I wanted to challenge myself and show a more vulnerable, honest side of who I am. The more I connected with Pippin, the more I realized how deeply his search for purpose and meaning reflected parts of myself I don’t always share. Parts of myself that tend to be difficult to express. Pippin as a character is the part of myself that isn’t seen.

I’ve recently stated frequently that this role never felt like a performance it felt natural, like stepping into a version of myself that had been waiting to be seen. To me that’s what makes this story so special. Everyone can relate to Pippin, whether you’re in the beginning of your life finding what you’re made for, in the middle finally understanding, or at the end accepting what was meant for you. In some way, everyone is Pippin, searching for purpose, growth, and what truly matters. I hope this story touched as many souls as it touches mine, and the rest of the cast.

To this cast, thank you for being such extraordinary people. Thank you for supporting me and each other along this journey. Every one of you is talented, seen, heard, and deeply valued. Chase your dreams, never lose sight of them. Never let anyone make you forget how special you are.

CADCA Forum ‘26

This trip was such a blessing, and it was such a privilege to attend Forum this year. I will always carry the lessons I’ve learned over the week with me, and this group has made such a tremendous impact on me. I have so much love in my heart for these people. Thank you for everyone who made this happen, I’m so grateful for every moment. This is truly a trip that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. We were given the opportunity to learn so much, and we met so many different people across the nation, including old friends. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for DFC and YES.

This year has been so full of unexpected surprises, bad and good. I am so thankful for everyone that I’ve met, got closer with, and people who have constantly supported me this year, despite the difficulties. CADCA at Nashville 🎸

Thank you to the people who made this trip possible. It was truly an honor to be chosen to go to CADCA’s Mid-Year in Nashville, Tenessee. I enjoyed my first two flights EVER. I had a wonderful time with lots of food, music, dancing, and farm noises. This was truly a once in a lifetime experience and I’m so grateful for this opportunity. I gained so much knowledge from the amazing speakers and presentations at this event, that I’m going to continue to learn about and take with me wherever I go. Lots of learning happened, Connections were made, and so much unforgettable fun was had. Thank you so much DFCYC for a great trip and for making this happen. It was a blast.
