This job challenges me, pushes me, and makes me better. This job requires many sacrifices, including time away from family, friends and my church community. I remind myself of the many seeds that are being planted 🌱

It allows me to practice patience, kindness, grace, and joy. My goal stays the same, for every person I interact with to experience the love of Jesus. For these athletes, coaches and parents to know it’s more than just volleyball. Thankful for year 2. I am #VOLTproud💖 by @anna.jv

I encourage you to be patient and trust Gods plan. Trust him in the unknown and the doors he opens for you will be greater than you could ever imagine! Sometimes I have to pinch myself, when I realize this is the job I’m blessed with. by @anna.jv

Happy birthday to the best funcle. Being your sister is an honor. Watching you grow into the man God is calling you to be has been a privilege and I love how he is on the move in your life. Can I be real with y’all for a minute?

We post the highlights. The best photos of ourselves. Only the happy moments.
But what about the ones that punch you in the gut?
The ones where tears stream down your face? Or where you put a noodle strainer on your head in the middle of an emotional breakdown.

As a leader, I think it’s so important for others to know we are not indestructible. There are hard moments and hard days, even when I’m smiling and laughing.

Those are the moments that grow you. And I’ve learned God honors all emotions.

People will comment on posts, “You’re glowing. Or You look so happy.”
And yes — I am happy. But not solely because of my circumstances. But because of who holds my life in His hands.

Surrendering my life to God changed everything.

This year, my word is JOY.
And it’s because of Him that I can have joy in all circumstances.

So here are moments of real.
Not because I want sympathy — but for my girls who follow this:
I want you to know life isn’t always sunshine and rainbows.
Sometimes you have to walk through the rainstorms to see the rainbow. My prayer is that you have great people walking through those puddles with you, and remember your greatest friend is God.
