DR Missions internship!
Wow, what a month it has been. I can officially say that I’ve caught a glimpse of the intense career that is international missions.
I can’t put into words all that this place, The Dominican Republic, means to me. What I can say, with full confidence, is that God has His hand here. These people love like they have nothing to lose, they love like Jesus.
I could continue forever about my memories here and the relationships I’ve begun to build, but I think at that point I’d run out of space.
Praise God for DR Missions and for the opportunity to serve. Tyler and Callie, thank you for your hospitality, your leadership, and your faithful stewardship. It’s been an incredible month, and I’m so grateful. by @anna.stigall_

Not your average church camp …

Summit, an incredible batch of kind, intentional, smart, inquisitive, REAL people who all strive for Jesus together. Two long, yet not long enough, intense weeks to do almost nothing but learn (maybe take a hike or two 😉). This was an insanely special opportunity and no doubt a blessing. I love you all 🫶 TYJ by @anna.stigall_

i’ve been blessed with such beautiful souls and experiences. thank you, Jesus! by @anna.stigall_

Dear DR,

Anyone who has already gone will say that this trip is something so incredible that you can barely put it into words, which is correct, but i’ll attempt anyways.

Before going on this missions trip, i felt slightly nervous and afraid that after seeing what I thought would be despair, poverty, loneliness, etc., would wreck the image of God I had in mind. I couldn’t have been more incorrect. There has never been a place I have felt Holy Spirit so deeply and so close before. The joy of the kids we got the opportunity to spend time with was something irreplaceable and absolutely timeless. The kindness of those living in refugee areas stretched farther and deeper than kindness I have experienced in the States. This trip has taught me so many lessons that I feel I could write a book, but the biggest one has to be that nothing is everything. These people don’t have much yet, they have more soul, more contentment, and more love than I do, despite “everything” I own.

Not to mention, the relationships I have built on this trip. To know people in such a vulnerable way is something so valuable and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. God has shown us immense mercy and I cannot wait to go back and grow even further with Him and everyone. by @anna.stigall_
