✨Highlights from year 37✨

With each passing year comes unique challenges and circumstances that can determine my whole outlook on that year. As I look back on this past year, I truly want to focus on all the Lord brought me through. As I have walked through some of the deepest betrayal, followed by feelings of hopelessness and one closed door after another, 2 things have been true and constant this year: 1. The Lord’s kind presence & 2. The comfort from His Church/People. When others I thought would’ve stayed walked away, my people held me and my pain close and walked with me. The Lord’s provision and protection has been so evident this past year and I pray I always see that as a gift from His loving hands.

May my life point to the kindness and goodness of our Savior. He is so so faithful to bring peace and comfort at just the right time. I am grateful to say every one of these people pictured are the ones who have made more of an impact on my life than they will ever know. The joy and love they bring to my life makes my cup overflow. Lord, may my faith and obedience to you be strengthened as I move forward one stumbling step closer to you at a time. by @anna_carol_88

Abide year 3 is in the books and I think it was the best one yet. There’s really something special and unique in the fact that this retreat gets better and better every year. There hasn’t been a year I attended where I didn’t walk away with tears of encouragement and a rested and grateful heart. When it comes between choosing this way and that way, I WANT IT THAT WAY!! Can’t think of a better way to start out year 37 than with my boys that I’ve loved since I was 7 years old. It was truly the best night of my life that I’ll never forget. taken in Sphere by @anna_carol_88

“I do not see as well without her. I do not hear as well without her. I do not feel as well without her. I would be better off without a hand or a leg than without my sister.”

How this quote rings so true for my sister and the past 30 years we’ve had together. I truly can’t believe our Abbey is 30! To know Abbey is to know someone who embodies the phrase “the life of the party” to the fullest extent. She is full of love and joy and laughter. She is also unapologetically herself no matter what situation she is and I love that about her.

These 30 years haven’t come without grief and deep loss. But I for one can say how proud I am of the woman you are today and the steps you are taking to continue to be the woman God created you to be. You are strong and loyal to your people.

You are so loved and so cherished. I am so honored to be your big sister throughout this journey and excited to see what comes next. Welcome to the best decade of your life! #abbeyturns30 by @anna_carol_88

Spring into summer…thankful to see long awaited answers to prayers come to fruition in this season. From seminary graduations to moving to celebrating a sweet friend now sister follow through with believers baptism, it’s all a gift of grace. With new seasons come new joys and new griefs, more growing pains really. Healing is hard, but it’s so needed. His sanctifying pruning hurts so good, right? Thankful to know Christ as my healer for all my days. Expectant to see who I’ll be on the other side of this. What a gift to walk through the changing of seasons with these people and many more not pictured. by @anna_carol_88
