1. Don’t do things just to impress people.
Human validation is good, but it shouldn’t be your fuel. If you always need people to clap, you’ll eventually start living for the audience.

2. Guard your mind and heart jealously.
What you constantly consume can quietly change what you desire, what you tolerate and even what you think is normal. Not everything you admire is good for you.

3. Nobody owes you anything.
It sounds harsh, but accepting this saves you from a lot of unnecessary disappointment. Appreciate what people give; don’t build your peace around what you think they should give.

4. Open your mouth and talk.
Tell people what you like. Tell them what you don't like. Ask for what you want. Communicate what you need.
“A closed mouth is a closed destiny.”
But I say, a closed mouth is a closed case.

6. Learn to check yourself when you start comparing.
Sometimes jealousy doesn't start with “I hate this person.” It starts with constantly looking at what they have until your own life suddenly feels inadequate.

I wrote this from my heart because these are genuinely the things I find myself praying about lately.

Grace to keep going. Strength when I don't have any. Favour. Growth. Joy. The ability to see the good even when things don't go according to plan.

And honestly, the biggest one: that when I can't carry myself, God carries me.

I'm sure I'm not the only one praying some of these prayers. 💙

Sometimes, we decide we don’t like something before we’ve even given it a chance.

You might discover a new hobby, skill, interest or even a side of yourself you didn’t know existed just by trying something different.

So maybe try the thing. You can always decide it’s not for you later.
