September project line up! 🍂✨

First up is last month’s focus project, Fairytale Town by @abris_art . Got her up to 35.08% (36705/104618 stitches). I think I said I would try to finish a page before moving on, but I’ve started working across the top and bottom pages and the call of fall/Halloween patterns is too loud to ignore.

Next up are the new starts!

Here is the first of my Halloween stitches! This is going to be Purranormal Kitty by @nine.lives.and.needles on one of her gorgeous hand-dyed aidas. I don’t know the name of this one, unfortunately, but it reminds me of her Poisoned Violets colorway.

Here is a project to celebrate @stitchsprout ‘s first book being released today! My B&N hasn’t received my copy yet, so I’m starting a throwback pattern, Pink Pony Club. I might be taking a page out of @camthestitcher ‘ book and adding beaded tassels 😉💗 fabric is @bestitchme ‘s August Fabric of the Month, Georgia Peach. by @anna_in.stitches

🤍 2026 Queen City Stitch Retreat - Chatelaine Weekend 🤍

My first retreat, and what a time it was! It was so wonderful to have two and a half days to focus solely on stitching, and to be in a room with people who love this hobby just as much (if not more) than I do. I want to thank @fiberartsamy , @kitschywips , and the rest of the QCSR team for hosting such an amazing event where stitchers and Chatelaine lovers can come together. I met such lovely people and had so many interesting conversations! I guess all that’s left to say is, I can’t wait for the next one!

It’s the changing of the WIPs!

I spent a few more days on Art Nouveau Fox and finished a fourth color, getting her to 38.2%. I decided to switch to my Fairytale Town BAP, which hasn’t received much love yet this year. I’m currently on the third set of pages from starting on the left of the chart, and she’s sitting at 32.15% (33633/104618 stitches). She’s one of my favorite projects to work on, despite her massive size, and I think I’m going to finish one page before I move on from her again.

Some progress on my car project! This cutie lives in my car and is my work/coffee shop stitch. Eventually it will be for my brother, but he doesn’t know about it, so it’s fine that’s it’s taking several years to complete. I finally finished filling in the tree star today, and decided it needed a ‘proof of existence’ post.

Had a bad day yesterday and decided the cure was a new start! I’ve had this gorgeous lugana in my stash from a BeStitchMe Friday Night Fight Night for a while and, while I am concerned the colors might be a little tooooo similar, I think it’ll look great with this cute Poison Heart Frog pattern from @needlelotdesigns (photo from her ig)

Finished the second exhibit of the @lolacrowcrossstitch Museum After Midnight SAL (minus backstitching)! I love the informational bits that come along with each creature. I’m probably not going to get caught up on this SAL at any point, and I’m okay with that, as it means I get to stare at this gorgeous custom-dyed @nine.lives.and.needles fabric for even longer.

Squeezing in my finish for the #strawberrymoonsal ! This is the cutest little pattern, I had tons of fun making little modifications like changing the strawberry seeds to beads and color swapping one of the butterflies. Thanks @marjoriemadestitches for hosting such a fun SAL!

Happy Pride! Here is the first of hopefully several Pride projects for this month. This pattern cracks me up every time I see it in my pattern storage, and I found the perfect fabric for it in my stash.
