Alien Clown GlamšŸŸ¢ -passion project- Not all that glitters is gold, sometimes it's a mysterious glam alien clown demon (in that order), had to keep it very on brand for this year's Halloween. Once again partnering with my love Anna, who always delivers in the photography game, truly a visionary, to bring to life this vision. Shout-out to @aboutfacebeauty for the gorgeous Matte Fluid Paint in shade "Vertigo Flowers" and Holographic Eye Paint in the shade "Rebirth", the star products of this look.šŸŸ¢ Make-up: by yours truly Photography, direction, editing and photo manipulation: @anna_kowski_ #halloween2026 by @anna_kowski_

The term ā€œphotoshoppedā€ carries a negative connotation that doesnā€™t really reflect how I perceive my work, or how heavily I use retouching tools. Iā€™ve often imagined concepts that were unrealistic in their construction. The surrealism was the appeal. I wanted to create things that felt believable enough to exist, but were ultimately impossible. In the age of AI and its growing dominance in photography and post-production, Iā€™ve found an even deeper love for my heavy editing style. Itā€™s still my hands spending hours behind a screen, thinking through meticulous ways to preserve the realism of what I see in front of me while imagining something abstract enough that it couldnā€™t truly exist. I love editing. Sometimes I like to say Iā€™m a better retoucher than photographer. Without Photoshop, and without the random ideas I can create through it, my work simply wouldnā€™t be what it is. But what happens when we leave that process behind and rely entirely on generative AI to create an image from scratch? What happens when the tool itself starts suggesting the ideas, and those ideas begin to change what we want to make? Iā€™m not sure. Maybe someday that wonā€™t feel like a cheat code either. ā€œIt looks photoshopped.ā€ ā€œIt looks like AI.ā€ ā€œIs it real if it looks real?ā€ An age of disruption and changing mindsets. So grateful to start sharing a new chapter in my art direction and photography journey where product visualisation becomes a new focal point in my artistry. I want to do so much more - but I need things to shoot! if you are a jewellery, accessory, shoe, headwear, clothing, tooth gems, nail designerā€¦ Iā€™m opening up for portfolio projects for the upcoming months where we deep dive into your branding and create a new visual language. Looking to create short conceptual series of 5-6 images embodying your items. by @anna_kowski_
