After resonating with and reminiscing on such a beautiful month at Kanakuk on the Kountryside, I still don’t think I’ll ever have the words to fully explain what the Lord has done, is doing, and will continue to do.

The month I just spent at Kamp has been such a wonderful reminder of the beautiful intentionality of our God. He is in the smallest details, the biggest moments, and every single person He places in our path.

I’ve learned that one of the most beautiful places to meet Jesus is when we bend down oh so low. To serve, to listen, to wipe away tears, to pick up crumbs, to love when we’re tired, and to give ourselves away just as He gave Himself away for us. And somehow, the more I bend low, the more I see that FULLNESS OF JOY IS FOUND IN HIM and Him only. This summer has made me so utterly and deeply aware of His presence. I’ve seen Him through the raw, childlike faith of the amazing kiddos, in the most fruitful friendships, in the growing discipleship of the people God created who chose to serve, in conversations that changed hearts, and in moments that felt like the most stunning, tiny glimpses of heaven.

Kamp taught me that the gospel is not just something we believe, but it is something we GET TO LIVE and SHARE with all those around us.

I’ve seen Him in all the mundane moments that somehow became THE MOST cherished of memories.Jesus died so that we may live. So that we may live out the life surrendered to the One who leads us into true life. And this can only be done through JESUS! What unbelievably good news. What a Savior!

How could the Lord use wretched sinners like me to further His Kingdom?
The sweetest part is knowing that I am simply just a vessel, a small part of His magnified power. And what an even greater gift to know that He was moving before we ever even arrived, He is moving now, and He will continue moving long after we leave. “I am the vine; you are the branches… apart from me you can do nothing.”
