i turned 21 and here’s why i didn’t drink a sip of alcohol: 👀✨🪩

before i truly understood the weight of what the Lord did for me, i IDOLIZED alcohol. I said a lot of awful things and did a lot of awful things when i was drunk. When I finally understood that Jesus was nailed to the cross for my drinking problem (and a lot of other problems), I wanted nothing to do with it anymore. A lot of people ask me what my position on drinking is. For me, completely staying away from alcohol gives the Lord the most glory. I knew my testimony would have a far more drastic impact being completely sober than saying, “i only have a few drinks now instead of a bunch.” For everyone it’s different, but ultimately Christians are called to be set apart from the world.

Maybe you don’t struggle with alcohol, maybe it’s something completely different. I’ve probably struggled with it too. But after living for literally everything the world can offer you, i PROMISE it’s nothing compared to what the Lord can offer you. From experience, i can tell you that all of those things are temporary fun for permanent pain. I found TRUE joy, fun, peace, and love when i put those things to death and started living for God. by @annabelleklilly

my life is forever changed after witnessing where my Savior WANTED to suffer and die for a relationship with me! My faith is built on a Savior that I cannot see but is strengthened by the biblical truths that are visible and evident to this day in the Holy Land!

I rejoice because I saw an EMPTY tomb!! Jesus conquered death and will again once and for all! I pray you earnestly seek Jesus with your whole heart to find perfect love and purpose! My life was never complete until I found Him!

my best friend of going on FIVE years left today for her dream job :,) …. everything I know about the Lord, resilience, forgiveness, generosity, grace, empathy, and friendship i’ve learned from her. she’s been the most constant person during the worst and best seasons of my life. im utterly jealous of every single person in DC and beyond thankful the Lord gave me a sister in cal. 💝 i wish i could write a five page essay abt why i love her and force you all to read it.
