@8x10movement @8x10movement @8x10movement alumni @roni.rano at our most recent workshop, styled by our team @casscellina & @_ellie.marcela_ | our goal here was to use this black simple dress to create strong shapes that contrasted against our bright backdrop, and highlight her back and long neck. because the dress is skin tight, it wasn’t one that could easily create shape by throwing it or spinning around. any visual intrigue we’d find in this session was from what shapes Veronica could make from within the dress, and what depth we could build at different angles. the first image in this set is one of my favorites from this day, so simple but tight and intentional. news about upcoming @8x10movement announcing up soon xx by @annablankx

@8x10movement @8x10movement @8x10movement our now alumni @janna_young_b captured at our last workshop. styling by our team @casscellina & @_ellie.marcela_ | we channeled an early 2000s pop energy, feminine and flirty. one of the key factors of a strong fashion image is knowing how to interact with the garment, and use it to give your movement context. this outfit is mainly blazer, so it was important to me to play into the confident boldness of a young professional. I also was intentional to keep Janna’s form at the forefront of our focus, because with such a heavy piece we could easily loose her shape if we weren’t careful. making sure to see her sides, legs, and stomach were all part of keeping this flirty+playful and giving an accurate view of her as a model. updates on future @8x10movement coming soon xx by @annablankx

@8x10movement @8x10movement @8x10movement ❕❕ images of @amanda.haffner from the closing portion of “THE IN-BETWEEN” workshop recently hosted by @y3nya and myself. we are still riding high from this connective day, and are currently in the works on our next experiential and educational offering for models and beyond. I’m eager to share more soon… but let me say now, the photo sessions at the end of our workshops are the highlight for me, and where I get to see our talent put on their game face and put their learnings to work. after a few hours of hands-on practice and guided movement, education, and a plethora of examples and prompts, the models all step onto set with these contagious confidence and energy. they are incredibly eager to create! it feels so satisfactory to know Xenia and I had a part in facilitating this feeling. and to make it even better, the model’s other group-mates are in the room and hyping them up from behind the camera. seeing friendships bloom over shared goals and the willingness to work for what you want, it’s just beautiful.
