Fun Fact: My pup Harley and I watch Drag Race every.. single.. day and when I was massively depressed and couldnt get off the couch, this was the only thing that would get me up and moving. No matter what, if I heard this music come on, I had to stop what I was doing and freestyle to it. Sure enough, it would always pull me out of a really dark place. @rupaulofficial I love you beyond words and appreciate everything you have done for the lgbtqia+ community ❤️ Happy Pride y'all, love you.

De'tour'- a roundabout road (especially one that is used temporarily while a main route is blocked); a deviation from a direct course or the usual procedure.

As dancers, we all dream of booking the big tours, music videos, working with the biggest names and/or companies in the business. We go to all the classes, auditions, networking events and worry about "did they see me?" "Am I good enough?"..adjusting yourself to fit a box in hopes that you'll be seen or mute yourself to "blend"..But what about the art? The craft? We get so caught up in wanting to book, that we forget why we dance. For the LOVE, the way it makes you FEEL..to EXPRESS..TO TELL A STORY. Why do you dance?

Here at Detour, we want to create a platform/community to celebrate and promote dancers who are yearning to dance, express, and showcase themselves/others. Do you have a solo you've been wanting to have filmed? Do you have choreo you really need to get out but need dancers? Do you want to be part of a community that uplifts and supports one another?
