Hi everyone! As many of you know, my mom is currently in the hospital and will be there for the next two weeks or so due to having to face long-term consequences of a GLP-1. This was wrongfully given to her by one doctor knowing her kidneys were already delicate enough.

My mom is currently 68 years old and has raised me as a single parent after adopting me from Guatemala, always putting my needs first. Late last year, everything changed when one GLP-1 shot put her into complete kidney failure and caused critical heart and lung complications.

She is currently undergoing dialysis, fighting an infection, is unable to work, and trying to navigate mounting medical bills. Between supporting her care and trying to cover my upcoming year at Mercer to keep my dream of becoming a veterinarian alive, we are facing an unexpected financial crisis.

Mercer has become my home, and I’m determined to keep pushing forward despite these circumstances. If you are able to donate, share, or send love our way, it would mean the world to us.
