Sports in Kansas 2025 1A-II Girls 🏀 Player of the Year: Anna Jueneman of Hanover.

Jueneman led Hanover to a three peat as they defeated fellow district school Linn in the state championship game. She also repeats as POY from SIK in 1A-II. Anna finished second in the voting back in 2023 as a sophomore. She averaged 18.6 ppg, 4.1 boards, and 3.6 steals per contest. Jueneman is one of the best multiple sport athletes in the state, being a multiple time state track and field champion and also all state volleyball. She scored 1,351 points for Hanover and head coach Chris Beikmann (2023 & 2024 1A-II COY from SIK). She also had 350 career steals. She has 11 total state titles combined in team and individual between volleyball, basketball and track with a season of track left. Shes won three individual track titles and is the defending state champ in 1A 200 & 400. She finishes as a four time 1A-II all state basketball player. She will play at Kansas Wesleyan for basketball next season. “This was an unforgettable and fun season with these girls. To get this three-peat truly meant a lot and it was a very fun and exciting ride.” Jueneman told Chet Kuplen of Sports in Kansas earlier this week. #sportsinkansas
