COTTON CANDY 💕💕💕
This was a remake of a costume I did originally back in 2018. This time around, I gave her a more glam feel and a Marie Antoinette bent. I added tulle to the wig and rhinestones to the gloves. We always have to sparkle of course. I love this costume!

To round out the last of the costumes, here is my costume from last year. I was Twinkle Toes, a character I saw at the Luna Luna (@lunaluna) exhibit when it was in town. Absolutely no one had any idea what this was, but she was sparkly so I didn’t care. Shoutout to my mom who helped me with the jumpsuit and collar since I didn’t have a sewing machine in LA and I’m really more of a hand sewer. My mom made so many costumes for my ballet performances (and Halloween) growing up and has always been intensely creative and talented. Without her support and all the things she’s taught me, I truly wouldn’t be the person I am today. I owe so much to her. Love you mom!! ❤️ taken in Los Angeles, California by @annalownes

Next we have my tornado costume from 2022 - one of my greatest feats. I constructed a “dress” and adorned it with objects like animals, trees, buildings, and vehicles. I made a big grey storm cloud for a hat and attached rhinestone rain drops because … of course … what’s a tornado without a little sparkle? This was a costume I made for Halloween in 2021 - I wanted to be one of those blue spinny things at the car wash. Do they have a technical name? Sound off in the comments if they do. Don’t ask me where I get my ideas from because I really don’t know. I hand-cut and sewed every piece of this blue felt onto a dress. I went with some white boots and 60’s makeup to lean into a sort of mod theme. Getting the curve on that eye makeup right took almost as long as the dang dress. In honor of Halloween, I want to post some of my past costumes. This is my “galaxy” costume from 2017. This was the first costume I did where I really went for it. I hand-painted velvet to look like the Milky Way. I made myself a crown of glitter stars. And of course I added more sparkle wherever I could. Featuring a cameo by @parmajean !
