Full on autumn vibes when I drove through the Finger Lakes a couple of weeks ago

Day 22: Reflections

The fall colors are always stunning in the Finger Lakes region of NY. This is from the town of Watkins Glen on Seneca Lake-which is, I must confess, my favorite of the 11 Finger Lakes 🍂

The sun tries to break through just before sunset; but what a mood the clouds and the layer of fog created 🩶

Our sweet Aunt Connie (or ACon as we affectionately call her) turned 1️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ last weekend!! She certainly was stylish in her favorite color pink and was surrounded by her family from near & far! 🎉🎉🎉Unfortunately I couldn’t get the group picture to fit in this format-there were 40 of us!

Day 9: Stylish

When I say, “I’m going down to the lake”
I MEAN that I’m going to Lake Ontario

A little closer to home…the prompt is Turquoise and the first thing that came to my mind was the Caribbean like water of Green Lakes State Park, just outside of Syracuse 🩵

The scenic port of Ketchikan has a historic district known as Creek Street with many colorful buildings and shops. Ketchikan Creek runs through it; during the summer salmon can be seen swimming upstream
We took an awesome shore excursion out to the Ketchikan Lighthouse where we saw many totem poles, eagles and sea lions. Earlier in the morning we were treated to a beautiful sunrise over the mountains
Beautiful town-well worth a visit!
