Today, we celebrate Women’s Equality and the generations of women who fought so girls like us could dream bigger, speak louder, lead boldly, and know that there is no limit to what we can become. 💜

As Rebel Ambassadors, we are more than athletes. We are teammates, leaders, dreamers, and girls learning to use our voices to lift each other up. 🎀✨

Different ages. Different stories. Different dreams.
But one message:

There is room for ALL of us to shine. 💫

And I’m even more proud to say… THIS IS YEAR TWO! ✌🏼🎀⭐️

Being chosen again means so much to me because being a Rebel isn’t just about a title—it’s about having the courage to BE YOU and helping other girls feel confident enough to do the same. 💗

I want every girl to know that you don’t have to fit into one box. You can be strong AND kind. Competitive AND supportive. You can cheer, dance, run, play soccer, chase a hundred different dreams and still be completely YOU. 💪🏼✨

💎 I found a part of me I didn’t even know was there. 💎

When I first joined GEMS, I thought dance would just be something fun to try. I never expected to fall in love with it the way I did. 💙

Dance has become one of my biggest passions because it gives me a completely different way to express myself. When the music starts, I get to let my personality come out—the confidence, the sass, the energy and the happiness. ✨💃🏻

Every year I love it a little more, and now I’m so excited to officially be starting my THIRD YEAR as a GEM! 💚💎

I’m proud to represent Beethoven Elementary, proud of everything our team has already accomplished, and especially proud that we’ve been part of bringing home some of our school’s first dance trophies. 🏆

I can’t wait to keep learning, growing, performing and becoming a better dancer with my girls.

This season changed us.

Let’s start with Annabel.

Oh my, Annabel. You surprised us from the very first meet when you stepped into the 400m. Then came the message that they needed the “Cheer Strike cheerleaders” for the 4x4 relay. None of it was planned by us or by you, but now I know it was always part of God’s plan.

Annabel has been blessed with incredible coaches throughout every sport she has played, but I truly believe God placed Coach Mark in our path for a reason.

He didn’t just coach her—he saw something in her before she saw it in herself. He believed in her, challenged her, and led with faith. What started as Annabel’s journey quickly became our journey, and before we knew it, we were invested in every single girl on that 4x4 relay.

These girls accomplished what many thought wasn’t possible. With only two months of training, after spending most of the season racing older girls and even boys, they earned their place at the TAAF State Championships.

But what amazes me most is this: they improved their 4x4 relay time by an incredible 8 seconds in two weeks. Eight seconds. In track, that’s huge. It wasn’t luck—it was faith, trust, relentless hard work, and a group of girls who refused to put limits on themselves.

As parents, watching Annabel run that 4x4 changed something in us. We watched our little girl become fearless. We watched her pass runners, encourage a teammate through pain, and leave every ounce of herself on that track.

She wasn’t just running a race.

She was discovering who she is.

People may ask, “Why track?”

Because when I see one of the few young Latina girls from the Rio Grande Valley standing on that starting line, I don’t just see my daughter. I see courage. I see resilience. I see faith. I see a little girl learning that she belongs in every lane she dares to step into.

No matter her age.
No matter her size.
No matter the odds.

With God leading her path, there are no limits to what she can become.

This season wasn’t just about track—it was about becoming. And I have a feeling… this is only the beginning. 🤍🏃🏽‍♀️✝️

Dear Summer 2026, 💜

You gave me so much more than faster times—you gave me a new love for track.

This season taught me what grit really means. It wasn’t just about racing. It was about showing up on the hard days, pushing through the Texas heat, believing in myself when things got tough, and learning that growth happens when you refuse to quit. Every practice, every workout, and every race reminded me that the strongest athletes aren’t always the most talented—they’re the ones who keep showing up.

But if there’s one thing this season gave me that I’ll carry forever, it’s my love for the 4x4 relay.

People see four girls running one lap.

I see four hearts choosing to be brave.

The 4x4 is one of the hardest and fastest races in track because it demands everything you have—not just physically, but mentally. When you receive that baton, there are no excuses left. You have one job: trust your training, trust yourself, and give everything you have for the three girls standing beside you.

The 4x4 taught me that greatness isn’t about one person having the perfect race. It’s about four athletes believing in one another enough to chase the same dream, fight through the same pain, and never let each other down. Somewhere between the practices, the baton exchanges, the butterflies before the gun, and the finish lines, we became more than teammates.

We became family.

To my relay sisters, thank you for every practice, every laugh, every PR, every challenge, every hug, and every memory. Thank you for teaching me that the best victories aren’t measured by medals or times, but by the people standing beside you at the finish line. Becoming a Top 15 4x4 relay team in Texas and ending our season with a new PR is something I’ll always be proud of, but the bond we built is what I’ll cherish most. by @annamontse10

To my relay sisters, thank you for every laugh, every challenge, every PR, and every memory. Being a Top 15 4x4 relay team in Texas and ending our season with a new PR is something I’ll always be proud of, but the bond we built means even more.

To Coach Mark, Coach Markus, and all of the Valley Track Club coaches… thank you. Thank you for leading with faith and reminding us that our identity is found in God before any medal or stopwatch. You believed in me, pushed me beyond my limits, encouraged me through every challenge, and invested in me both on and off the track. Your words, prayers, and faith stayed with me every time I stepped into my lane. You will always hold a special place in my heart.

To my family, thank you for every early morning, every mile traveled, every cheer, and every sacrifice. Thank you for believing in me long before I believed in myself.

This summer lit a fire inside of me. I’m leaving with bigger dreams, bigger goals, and an even bigger love for this sport.

Summer 2026 may be over, but the girl it shaped is just getting started. 💜🏃🏽‍♀️
