My other bird flew the coup…
Daniel moved to ISU last week.
This week was Erika’s turn…
Yesterday she moved into her apartment for this year. She hopes to stay longer. It was a long day carting things up 4 flights of stairs and cleaning(super ick). She is super excited and will return next week to her cafe job. The end came to her time at Panera. Classes resume after Labor Day.
Now to adjust to and empty house???, with work ai am not sure I will notice.

My birds are flying away…..
Daniel landed as a Redbird yesterday at Illinois State. Got him all moved in except a second trip tomorrow with his cello. Drove through the tornadoes to get there and passed the flipped over semi on 55 to arrive and unload in more rain. Many adventures were definitely had. Daniel is looking forward to his independence and I know he is ready. He started his new job today among many other things. He even had a fire alarm already, lol. Here’s to a fabulous year ahead! by @annandreshak

The last day of High School at DGS for our senior Daniel!! Our youngest is ready to start a new chapter. Such a journey he has been on, so proud of him! And he finished the night at Hinsdale with an Under the lights track meet and another SUB-FIVE mile!! by @annandreshak

Christmas was a blur and the new year will be here in moments. No Christmas cards this year. And not so many photos and posts. Treasuring the events I can attend. Especially grateful to sing Christmas Eve and Day masses. I now work full time at Michaels in Naperville as a Customer Experience Manager. I am settling into new routines. Life has a funny way of taking turns when you least expect it. It’s been a roller coaster of adjustments since October. But we are hanging in there one step at a time…… by @annandreshak

Well this weekend has been filled with music. Daniel played so beautifully at ILMEA yesterday. I would love to post but Facebook would just mute them.
We were planning to see Erika’s concert today at WMU but Mother Nature had other plans. In comments so will put one piece her friends noted. She is straight in between 1st and 2nd cello rows. So proud and lucky to have musical kids. Congrats Erika & Daniel! by @annandreshak
