Happy 5 year anniversary to the love of my life, to my Prince Eric!! Thank you for the most magical life together! I don’t know where these last 5 years have gone, but I choose you every day, forever and always, and I can’t wait to see what adventures our fairytale holds next! Love you endlessly and here’s to many, many more years of joy, Disney magic, and dancing through life hand in hand. ❤️👰🏻‍♀️🤵‍♂️💍🥰 #Anniversary #5Years #Love #DisneyCouple by @annapoly.dance
With another year of dance over, I’m always so proud of all my classes, but my beautiful Paint it Black dancers deserve a special shoutout for all their hard work this year! 🖤❤️ My choreography is almost always story-driven, and as a dance teacher, I love to mix it up and do something completely different each year with a class. I care so, so deeply about teaching proper technique, but I’m also so passionate about developing the kids’ artistry and creativity and making them well-rounded performers. This year, when I came in on the first day of class in September telling this class about my idea for a deeper storyline, you girls were immediately so excited. Thank you for all your hard work and going on this journey with me! You may be young dancers with not all that many years of modern dance experience, but I treated you like the advanced class all year because I knew you could handle it. I threw so many new things at you- floorwork, lifts, technically demanding steps, tons of formations and props, complex emotional storytelling, and more, and you rose to every challenge. From our late night classes to our early morning extra rehearsals we had, I could truly feel your dedication and enthusiasm about putting this piece together, and I’m so grateful to work with a class so passionate. I love you girls so much and am so, so proud of you! It’s always an honor to be your teacher and watch your artistry and talent grow each year! I’m already looking forward to telling brand new stories with you next year, but for now, here’s some of my favorite moments from our dance! 🖤❤️🖤❤️🖤❤️🖤 💃🏻Dancers: @alessandra_wickman_ @giulia.lunaaa @_kenzie1123 @avadee028 @shaaban.mayar Iliana, Adina, Autumn, Olivia P., Olivia V. 🧠Choreo: Me 🎶Song: Paint it Black, by @ciara 📍@mrsrosemarys @stgeorgetheatre #PaintItBlack #Contemporary #Dance #Recital #ProudDanceTeacher by @annapoly.dance
My first cruise was full of so many “firsts”…first time meeting a dolphin, playing with some love birds, and snorkeling in the Dominican Republic, first time taking dance classes and doing so many activities on a ship, going to the most gorgeous beach wedding in St. Thomas to see Eric’s best friend get married, spending the day driving around the beautiful hills and beaches of Tortola, and so many more new adventures! 🚢🌴⚓️☀️🌊🏖️🥰 Grateful for some time in paradise with my captain Eric! (Who in fact wore his captain hat every day and shouted “Ahoy” in response to everyone who called him Captain…best Eric quote of the trip: “Ahoy is universal- it’s like Aloha or Shalom” 😅😅😅) #FirstCruise #Caribbean #Vacation #Wedding #Grateful by @annapoly.dance
So many fun cruise pics and adventures to share later, but couldn’t let one more day go by without sharing my new best friend, Narissa the Dolphin….the most magical day in the Dominican Republic!! 🥹🐬 #DominicanRepublic #Dolphin #Cruise #MagicalMoment by @annapoly.dance
