Cowboy Awakening # 85 how I just adore you! My favorite weekend of the semester. A weekend of 6 hours of sleep, 5 hours of adoration, 3 @redbull, 1 shower, and countless memories, laughs, and tears. A weekend to remind ourselves the God is waiting for you to go to Him, to lay your troubles at His feet and allow Him to transform them. A beautiful reminder that the distractions and problems of the world fall away when you fix your eyes on Him. That He alone can cast out demons, worry, anxieties, fears, and everything that is not of Him. A time to reflect on where you could do better but not be ashamed because we are imperfect beings striving to love a perfect God. A reminder that your timing is not God’s: His plan in HIS timing is more perfect than we could ever dream of. A reminder that He is here; that He is present; that He IS making you new!!! A very wild weekend!!! SIX of my Group 2 babies got to run home with me, I got to run home for the 2nd time, and my Lexie got to run home for the last.
Tutti: Words will NEVER come close to describing the love I have for you! From my very first moment in Chi O, to your last recruitment, we’ve shared too many laughs, nowhere near as many tears, and so so so many sweet memories. We’ve kept each other sane this week, handled more than ANYONE knows, and held onto every moment. I selfishly don’t want you to graduate so I can have one more year with you so close. Expect MANY phone calls next year.
Sarah: BEST PARTNER EVER!!!! You knew what to say when I didn’t. The chill to my wired, the diet coke to my dr. pepper, the ADPi to my Chi O. Your experience made me feel prepared and your friendship means SO much to me!!
My baby hooties: I can’t wait for our bond as sisters to grow! You’re in for the MOST FUN 4 years with the girls who will love you the most!!!
My girls who ran home to other houses: THIS CHANGES NOTHING!!! You’re still my babies, I’m still a text away. I can’t wait to stand back and watch you grow as beautiful women of Phi Mu and Alpha Delta Pi! PC ‘26, I will forever be head over boots for you!!!💛❤️🤠🦉☠️

My GIRL!! I’ve known her longer than I have chi o. She may be younger than me but I will ALWAYS look up to her. Kind, passionate, HILARIOUS, and truly someone who chi o needs. I took this at a full-circle moment, at the end of pref tea, hugging my Tutti at her last recruitment during my Ava’s, and next to her Adi’s, first. Tutti’s time in chi o coming to an end and Ava’s and Adi’s just beginning. My biggest prayer is that they all get bigs who adore them!!🥹

My whole heart! They kept me laughing alllllll weekend!! Truly the sweetest group of girls I could’ve ever asked for!

The “psi chapter” of Awakenings
Cowboy Awakening 83. A weekend of discipline, love of and for Christ, fellowship. A reminder that we have not and will not ever be alone. Through long hours of adoration, late nights, and early mornings, it was impossible not to feel the Holy Spirit. Seeing this gaggle of sleep-deprived, over-caffeinated college kids who sacrificed a weekend of rest and LSU football for a weekend of worship and solemn prayer. A reminder that Christ can and will use those who love Him to show that love to the world. A reminder that WE are the generation on fire for Him, who WILL raise our children to be on fire for Him. Emotions ran high, music ran loud, reverence ran deep. I am so proud to call these crazy kids my friends. Here’s to (hopefully) many more weekends of Redbull, adoration, and dance!
