From the opening at RADIO ATHÈNES
SANTANGELO in collaboration with KOSTAS MURKUDIS

Handcrafted jewellery pieces inspired by the Oorijzer “ear-iron”, a type of metal headwear worn as part of traditional Dutch folk costume. Originally utilitarian, these pieces came to symbolize regional identity and heritage, evolving over time into markers of fashion and social status from the 1600s to the 1800s.

The three works are made from forged and polished brass: a headpiece that can also be worn as a necklace (with a subtle reference to headphones); a wide belt with a sterling silver chain; and a two-part breastplate that clasps at the back.
