I started this embroidery as means to process what is happening. It’s been a strange experience, making this piece.

It took me a long time as it was emotionally and physically exhausting for me.

My first men’s sweater is finished, it was a big job for me, took me a few months with taking it apart at least 5 times. Now it’s done and husband is a happy camper.
100% cotton and 100% alpaca yarn mixed.

I make things that I am too sick to wear — almost all of them end up going to other people.

I keep making them because it’s the last thing left that I’m still able to do, so I keep going until I can’t anymore.

Handmade things need to be worn. They want a life beyond the mannequin. They come alive on a human body, and my body is broken.

So I’m counting on other people to bring them to life.

I honestly don’t understand how people keep making afghans 😄 I started this one last summer, and it is finally finished.

I wanted a cotton blanket that would feel substantial and heavy, but still airy and not too hot—so naturally, I made exactly what I needed. It took forever, and I don’t think another blanket will be happening anytime soon, but this one is perfect.

While having COVID last month I started making granny squares with African flower without any rhyme or reason, just randomly, now I have a bunch of them and I think they’re ready to become a thing. I haven’t decided what thing exactly, but I am working on it
