[Introducing the CLX Gang 2/2] @h.ace, @anncapopannca and @mercedes_benski share their love for heavy basslines, broken beats and Hannovarian club culture. As part of the CLX collective they host, organise events and wave the flag for good drum and bass in all its colors and patterns. for this edition I had the pleasure of diving into @anncapopannca thoughts and experiences a little deeper. @anncapopannca and I had been in touch online for quite a while, but we met in person two years ago at a party that simply wasn’t the easiest night for either of us. sharing something like that brings people closer and I remember immediately noticing how open, warm and genuine she is. because we both feel connected to many different shades of bass music, we kept running into each other again and again. for example at @subardo_festival, where we even shared the lineup, which made it extra special or at @openground.club. alongside her dj work she is also producing and I really love how her sound pulls you into dreamy, atmospheric spaces while still playing with broken rhythms in such a thoughtful way. with @clx_160 in hannover she runs a party series together with friends, while through her collective work @elektronischer.dauerurlaub since 2021 she also helps create structures that support FLINTA* artists, knowledge sharing and long-term growth within the scene. from our exchange I took a lot with me. not only ideas about shaping energy in a set, but also how to deal with performance pressure and stay grounded in the moment. and if you have good tips on how to prepare for gigs, feel free to reach out to her and share them. thank you for your openness, your time and the learning nuggets! 🖤 I hope you’ll find as much inspiration in this conversation as I did. make sure to check her profile to dive deeper into her music and everything she’s building. interview host: @lilakmind creative head: @simon_informal foto: @leona.ohsiek #flinta #interview #dnb #jungle by @anncapopannca
