Today was such a wonderful birthday! I received so many beautiful birthday wishes and texts that made me feel incredibly loved. We enjoyed a late lunch, picked up a few birthday freebies, and ended the evening with a wonderful dinner at The Keg with Karter and Kie. ❤️

How did I get to Chapter 50 already? 🎉

Last night, my husband threw me the most wonderful 50th birthday party. My heart is so full after spending the evening surrounded by so much love, laughter, and people I truly cherish. Thank you to my amazing husband for making this milestone feel so special & all that helped him. Also thank you to everyone who helped me celebrate! ❤️

We had the party at Dutchman’s Country BBQ, and if you haven’t tried them yet, you absolutely have to. The food was incredible!

A card I received the other day included these beautiful words, and I am claiming every one of them as I begin this new chapter:

“Take pride in the story you have written, the person you are, and the lives you have touched. As you turn the page, step into your next chapter with courage, purpose, and endless possibility.”

Here’s to Chapter 50—the story is far from over, and I have a feeling some of the best pages are still waiting to be written. by @anndoucette

Twenty-eight years ago, this is where our forever began. ❤️

We got engaged at Top of the Rock at The Buttes, and one year later, we were married. This year, as we celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary, we returned to the place where it all started.

Back then, our proposal happened at a table in the lower part of the restaurant. This year, they welcomed us with a wonderful booth for dinner, and afterward we walked over to the corner overlooking the view to recreate a special photo.

Some places become part of your story, and this will always be one of them. It was a relaxing day, a wonderful dinner, and a chance to reflect on how much life we’ve shared since that unforgettable “yes.”

Twenty-eight years since the proposal. Twenty-seven years of marriage. Countless memories.

🎉 TOBY IS 14 TODAY! 🎉 Don’t let his age fool you — this guy now trots to the door when we come home, patrols the yard 3 times a night like the dedicated security guard he is, and gets SO excited for his evening walks you’d think he was a puppy! He loves his treats, his calming shirt, and keeping this family safe.
