Stevie instilled confidence and encouragement in me from the time we were theater kids all the way through our last conversation before he passed, just over a month ago, when I told him I went back to school. The wonderful thing about Stevie is that through all our conversations, even in his hardest times, he somehow never failed to uplift me and remind me that he was rooting for me.

I have so many fond memories with him. He would come over to my house, make a cup of tea, and chat with me and my family for hours. We would skip school to get a burger together, I’d force him to model for my film photography homework, and we would yappp about all our favorite things—music, theater, dance, and what we wanted out of life. Anyone who knew Stevie knows he had a talent for making people laugh wherever he went. He was a talented actor, flamenco dancer, and a dear friend.

I wish we took more photos together or saw each other in person more but I will always be so grateful we stayed in touch over the years. My heart is so heavy with this news but I find relief knowing you are wrapped in love and light and feeling peace. I can’t wait to give you hug and yap over a burger again one day🤍 by @anne_buxtonn
