This afternoon we learned that our sweet Noa is putting a bit too much stress on my new kidney. My kidney function lab has been on a minor, slow increase the last few days. Tomorrow morning I will have labs done which will determine whether or not we need to deliver Noa tomorrow at 31 weeks. Even though we are 7 weeks further along than we got with Atlas, the news was still devastating and scary and overwhelming. I was feeling not strong enough to go through something like this again. I spent the afternoon crying and looking back at the last four years to remind myself and Jake of all the things we have been through and come out of and how strong we were on all of the toughest days. Today has been hard but whatever happens tomorrow, we know it’s in Gods hands and we will get through it. In my ideal world I could make it another week here at the hospital before delivering Noa, so everyone please pray for that. If we have learned anything over the last 4.5 years, it’s that there is absolutely nothing as powerful as prayer.
