IM NEUROSENTEICH versammelt neun künstlerische Positionen, die sich mit Wasser als Metapher für (psychische, soziale und ökologische) Zustände auseinandersetzen. Wasser fungiert dabei als Spiegel und Speicher: als Oberfläche des Sichtbaren ebenso wie als Träger verborgener Strömungen – Erinnerungen, Ängste, Traumata und gesellschaftliche Spannungen.

Hardly any other animals polarize public opinion as strongly as pigeons. As white doves, they symbolize peace and are associated with purity and hope; yet gray urban pigeons are often linked with dirt, disturbance, and disease. The exhibition "Pigeon Paradox" takes this ambivalent relationship between city dwellers and pigeons as its point of departure. Through artistic works, it explores a central question: which human and non-human interests shape ways of being in shared urban space? City pigeons descend from escaped domestic pigeons, which explains their enduring affinity for human environments. Paradoxically, the protection of biodiversity in the future may be tried out precisely in cities, where the majority of both humans and pigeons live.

Through installation-based, media, sculptural, and conceptual artworks by @boettchercaroline @ozcanertek @hoelcka @gerhardmarx @majamarx @lale_willan and @ticiatanne the exhibition invites visitors to reflect on the cultural meanings that shape our attitudes toward pigeons and to discover their remarkable and inspiring abilities.

My photographs Swarm I and Swarm II are currently on display at Lycra. They float on the raft in the water and on land after I sanded the walls. I'm interested in the ways the flies inhabit space, and in the space I can shape for them within a photograph.

Anne Linke zeigt für „Ansichten einer Taube“ ein Foto eines Taubeneies, das auf einem Balken in einer Bibliothek gelegt wurde. Die Tauben kamen ins Gebäude als dessen Fenster zum Lüften geöffnet waren.

Eine Kollaboration von HARTIKEL und dem BAD BOY JESUS TAPE CLUB @bad.boy.jesus.tape.club

HARTIKEL und der BAD BOY JESUS TAPE CLUB laden zu einer dreitägigen Veranstaltung im Zentrum Hamburgs ein. Unter dem Titel „Ansichten einer Taube“ präsentieren Autor*innen und Künstler*innen ihre Reflexionen über defensive Architektur – in Texten, Bildern und Klang.

Gedruckt auf Bögen zum Lesen, Anschauen und Mitnehmen, zeigen Beiträge von FELIX EGLE @felix_e_gle , SIMONE KARL @_simonekarl_ ,ANNE LINKE @annelefty , KUNSTVEREIN ST. PAULI @kunstvereinst.pauli und NICOLE NADINE PETSCH @nicolenadinepetsch neue Perspektiven auf urbane Räume und Körper. On my way to the Copenhagen Architecture festival. As part of the Programme "Anima urbis" I will give an introduction to the urban animal per se plus PIGEONS AND ARCHITECTURE will be shown along with "Pigeons of the Square" (1982) from Jean Painlevé and
