Shoutout to the dancers, companies, faculty members, and various bugs in Brodie Gym I had the privilege of spending the past month with! I’m so grateful for dance and the community that @amerdancefest creates. This is such a special place. One busted knee and endless dust later… #4324251438425137 #poppin by @anneliesedayy

This year in particular has been such a blessing in my life. In September, I decided I wasn’t going to audition or apply for anything because I was feeling so low about my abilities and was ready to exit dance altogether. Little did I know this was the year everything would change. A six show streak, multiple outside opportunities, and lots of all nighters later, I wouldn’t want to go out any other way. Thank you to everyone who took a chance on me, AND to those who said some crazy shit that motivated me to be better than you thought possible. I love proving people wrong. Thank you to my day 1 baddies and every faculty member that sat with me while I complained during office hours. Thank you to this year’s freshmen that helped me realize I had the tools all along, I just needed help opening the box. It means more than you’ll ever know. See yall in a few years with my MFA!!! I’d like to think that the most successful dances are the ones you make with love. There is no other way to describe this semesters process for NDS other than with that. I am so proud of my cast! They have gone above and beyond in every 10pm rehearsal, with joy and passion, making me excited for their future at Dean and beyond.

Thank you to my lil artists for your faith in my vision, and to Dean for trusting me with our newest dancers. #turnturnprepturnleg #mog #12345678 by @anneliesedayy
