Opening week was one for the books! Not only did I get my turkey opening day but I also got to be Chas’s sidekick for his hunt this morning, We had an amazing time at the Grand Slam Outdoors Turkey Invitational—Faith and I teamed up as the all-girl duo, and we had a blast! The hunting was tough, the food was incredible, and the fellowship made it even better. Can’t wait for next time! #FirstTurkey #GirlsWhoHunt #GrandSlamOutdoors #GoodFoodGreatCompany taken in Alabama by @anneloremcmahon

It has been a wonderful week getting to do hair and makeup for the models at @themotherhoodanthology retreat The Gathering, working with these photographers was and absolute dream!! One thing that stood out to me the most was how they, the artists, wanted me just to accentuate the natural features not too much makeup, don’t cover up freckles, make them look like themselves because they saw the beauty in them just the way they were, and I love that🤍 thank you @kaylamariphotography for capturing this little BTS taken in 30-A Santa Rosa Beach by @anneloremcmahon

Raising a little girl in pink boots and camo is its own kind of magic. 🩷
She’s sassy, girly, and somehow tougher than she looks — already all in on this hunting life right beside me.
Taking a toddler means packing a little extra: quiet snacks in ziplocks, a tiny play-doh kit, stickers and colors, layers on layers, and a tablet with headphones tucked away for the moments I really need it as a last resort.

Tips for mamas taking their little ones: keep their hands busy, keep the snacks quiet, dress them warm, and keep your expectations loose. Some sits are short, and that’s okay! Enjoy the moment and make those memories!

It’s never about the perfect hunt — it’s about the memories, the fresh air, our traditions, and passing down a deep respect for the outdoors and the harvest.
These are the moments she’ll grow up on. by @anneloremcmahon
