She says, “so many plants and trees are bare and we are cloaked in continuous gray. So honored to share my work at two Planned Parenthood clinics in the Portland Area. When I was in grad school, I had a had a scary lump in my breast and they were so kind, knowledgeable, and affordable. It is a huge mistake to cut funding that supports sexual wellness. They do so much to support community health. I am astounded by their bravery, strength, and compassion. What a wonderful experience I have been having at the LBCC ceramics studio. Such kind folks in the studio. Lots of new technical challenges. I’m not blaming the @portlandartmuseum but the psychedelic poster show made me think so deeply about color. Harmonious, dissonant, and sometimes very subtle contrast. These are a reduction linocut in three layers. Lots of technical issues but I learned a ton. One summer years ago in Seattle, I went and sat at the lake shore with little gouache paints. I clearly couldn’t leave the composition but loved how much the light and color changed.
