Partial knee replacement is no joke. I haven’t been able to hike or swim seriously for a year. Worth it, every second of pain and stretch and scar. Thank you to Steve, Emily and Alyssa at MedSport for encouraging me and reminding me of my spirit. Welcome Mia Rodilla! by @annevansvoice

After a sad and disappointing failed contract, the silver lining was spending time with my sister teaching her about gardening and plants. I forgot to take a pic of us pulling the pond form out before I filled it and began my design. Creativity comes in many ways. Nothing better than to take the show on the road! So grateful to #intheatreproductions and #bttftour for supporting artistic training and growth for @caden.brauch thank you. Also got to eat fish and chips with @_diegorodz_ on his first night abroad after his first rehearsal for Evita! And, of course, if you’re already across the pond…

Remembering Mama. 12/29/29-10/25/23. She was strong, fierce, determined, graceful, and was all about her family. Particularly her grandkids, for whom she would do anything. She was a national slalom winner, she swam, ice-skated, and took an ocean kayaking trip when she was 72. She hid sweets under her bed, had fart contests with us (she won). She survived the loss of her husband in the days when a woman could only get a credit card when her spouse co-signed. She raised the three of us as she lived-independent, thoughtful, and valuing education. She reminded us to choose our battles. She talked to everyone regardless of age or identity. She flirted regardless of age or identity. She survived the suicide of her son. Simply no one like Nanu. Her favorite phrase: “One can never creep when one feels the impulse to soar” (Helen Keller). Soar on, Mama. We miss you. by @annevansvoice

I used to love Sarah Lee- everything. In fact the arts building where I went to college was named after her- Sarah Lee Cummings Arts Bld. Now they are owned by Kohlberg- basically buys cheap and sells off if they can’t make $$. You can never go back to your childhood. 😢 #duped #falseadvertising by @annevansvoice
