In early July, @mashagessen and I drove across Kansas and Colorado to cover how recent legislature was impacting the lives of trans people in Kansas. Thank you to @jmwender for having me on this story and for being wonderful to work with. A little last minute invite but I am speaking tomorrow at University of Michigan! I will be giving an artist talk on my project “Love is not the last room” and there will be a reception following in the accompanying exhibition. If you are in Ann Arbor, please come by Lane Hall tomorrow at 4 pm for my talk and the reception from 5:00 - 6:30. There should also be a recording so email me at annevetter@gmail.com if you would like to watch after the fact (I won’t see if you dm me, I am never on this app, in fact it’s not actually me posting this it’s Dario). In honor of my 30th, some happy news: next fall, I am moving to LA full time to begin my MFA at UCLA. So many people supported through this process. There are too many of you to name and I love you all.

I am so happy to share that I will be opening a solo show at the Robert & Elaine Stein Galleries at Wright State University in Dayton, OH. The show will be up from October 10-December 16. I’ll be coming in for a talk a reception on the 12th.

If you’re in the area, I’d love to see you there. If you’re not in the area and would like to talk about the work still, let’s do a virtual studio visit! Link to show in my bio.

I am delighted to share that our film “Swallow” will be premiering at @havurahfolk Short Short Fest on October 3rd at the Marlene Meyerson JCC in Manhattan! Link for tickets will be in my bio.

We shot this film over Sukkot 5782 and so it’s especially delightful that it should enter the public during Sukkot 5784. I am sure I will have more to say and share in the weeks to come but, for now, I am verklempt! I hope to see you there! taken in Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan by @annevetter

I am so grateful to have “Love is not the last room” open at the Alan Priebe Gallery at @uwoshkosh.artgalleries . Even though the official opening was cancelled due to a blizzard, it is still a very special first solo show.

I am especially grateful that my beautiful mom @melanievetter made the schlep to come see the show with me. This project is not possible without the love and collaboration of my family, and to be able to share the show with her is something I will never forget.

A big thank you to Leslie Walfish for being so wonderful to work with getting this show together. More thank yous to my dear friends @jesstdugan @hannah.altman @elizabeth__hibbard and @icy_squid for their help with the sequence and layout. Another thank you to @theimageflow for helping me produce such beautiful prints.

The biggest thanks to the love of my life @darioslavazza for every little and big help.

Online talk for “Love is not the last room” exhibit next Tuesday, Feb 28 at 12 pm central time/10 am West Coast/1 pm East Coast

Due to blizzard conditions, UW Oshkosh cancelled classes and events today meaning we are moving my artist talk online and to next Tuesday. Any and all will be welcome to join over Zoom. The link is in my bio!

I am thrilled to announce my first solo show will be opening February 23rd at the Alan Priebe Gallery at UW Oshkosh.
